a coincidence of colour
Each year on Canada Day, Steveston transforms into party central for one of the best birthday celebrations in this country. I have been photographing this day for the past five years and each time I see something new that reflects our diversity and values as a nation. There is no better antidote to the rising hate and intolerance in this world than walking down Moncton Street during the parade and looking at the sea of faces who reflect the make-up this country. As Canadians we have much to be proud of–our compassion, our loyalty, and our commitment to human rights, to the environment, and to respect, openness and justice. I hope we never let go of those values. To see my latest Canada Day images, click here.
